ST's STM32G0 Discovery kit, available from Mouser Electronics, is based on an STM32G071RB microcontroller with an Arm® Cortex®-M0+ core, 32 Kbytes of RAM, and 128 Kbytes of flash memory. The handheld case integrates a four-way joystick with selection button plus a 1-inch 128 × 64 pixel OLED LCD module for ease of use. The device's on-board ST-LINK/V2-1 debugger/programmer offers USB enumeration capability, enabling intensive debugging and development.
The kit offers multiple board external connectors, including a USB Type-C plug cable, USB with micro-AB connector for ST-LINK, USB Type-C receptacle connector, and 8-pin user extension connector including SPI, ADC, USART and I²C communication signals. The board's internal connectors include USB Type-C test points for main signals and two 8-pin GPIOs free pins.
The kit has three bidirectional current and power monitors with I²C interface, enabling the measurement of VBUS, CC1 and CC2 protected and isolated lines, as well as an onboard DC/DC converter that sustains a power supply with VBUS ranging from 3 V to 20 V. The STM32G0 Discovery kit can be combined with the STM32CubeMonitor-UCPD to create a professional-grade Power Delivery analyzer.
