HARTING2 has launched a new version of its MICA Edge Computer with a second Ethernet interface to exchange data between two Ethernet networks.

An additional USB interface is also available for adding further capabilities or USB storage.

The secondary Ethernet interface is through the functional circuit board and expands the modularity of the platform. It can be used to integrate MICA Wireless to add WLAN, BLE and LTE connectivity for an easy to manage and compact solution. For example, MICA Wireless can process nodes for RFID readers connected through a WLAN. The second Ethernet interface also makes it possible to monitor remote systems via Ethernet and transmit the data as needed in a compressed format worldwide via LTE or via BLE to Ethernet gateways.
