Silicon photomultiplier module with high sensitivity from near-UV to NIR wavelengths

The LynX silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) module released by Excelitas Technologies is claimed to offer outstanding sensitivity from near-UV to NIR wavelengths, addressing the requirements of life sciences and analytical measurement OEM applications.

The LynX-A-33-050-T1-A is a compact, easy-to-use, analogue module based on Excelitas' new C30742 series low noise, ultra-fast timing resolution, low cross-talk SiPM chips. Offering an attractive alternative to traditional photomultiplier tubes, the unit consists of a single-stage TE-cooled detector head, DC-DC power supply, and a low-noise transimpedance amplifier. It contains a 3x3mm 2 active area SiPM with 50x50 µm 2 microcells for optimum dynamic range and photon detection efficiency (PDE).
